2010 Wimbledon Winners
2010 was an epic year for Wimbledon, and for tennis. Many, many tennis world records were broken and the jaw-dropping matches and players involved will undoubtedly be remembered forever. The John Isner and Nicolas Mahut match was an epic tennis battle between two men – lasting an exhausting 11 hour and 5 minutes. That should be enough to secure a spot in the record books for a long time.
Wimbledon 2010 Winners
- Men’s Final Winner: Rafael Nadal (Spain) beat Tomas Berdhch (Czech) 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 to lift the Men’s Final trophy.
- Ladies Final Winner: Serena Williams (USA) quickly defeated Russian Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 6-2 to win the Wimbledon women’s title for the 4th time and earning her 13th Grand Slam title in the process.
- Men’s Doubles Winners: The unseeded duo of Jurgen Melzer(Aus) and Phillipp Petzschner(Ger) Won the Men’s Doubles Title winning 6-1, 7-5, 7-5 to claim the men’s doubles Championship. They beat the 15 seeds Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecau in the process.
- Ladies Doubles Winners Another unseeded team – Vania King and Yaroslava Shvedova took home the Ladies’ title, beating Russians Elena Vesnina and Vera Zvonareva by 7-6 (6), 6-2.
